How BaiBeta makes and checks its pages

BaiBeta is an independent project by Kevin Bai. The goal is to make Canadian climbing-shoe shopping less fragmented by pairing retailer data with useful, clearly attributed guidance.

Deal data

Listings are collected from supported retailers on a scheduled crawl and normalized to Canadian dollars where the source provides enough information. We group likely copies of the same shoe to make store comparison easier, preserve the underlying offers, and show the most recently observed price and stock fields. A listing is not a guarantee: retailers control the live product page, price, availability, shipping, taxes, and returns.

Selection and ranking

The deals feed uses explicit filters and sortable fields such as sale price and observed discount. Retailer payment does not buy placement. Affiliate relationships, where available, do not change those rules. Editorial shoe picks are selected by model signature and documented with a rationale, reviewer, and review date; automated keyword matches are not published as curated recommendations.

Corrections

Kevin reviews guide updates and welcomes corrections through the contact form. When a factual claim changes, we update the article date and explain the relevant change where practical.
